Burnham on Sea

“I hope that my work will encourage self-expression in others and stimulate the search for beauty and creative excitement in the great world around us.”          —Ansel Adams

With these words in mind my partner and i took a trip recently to go and see relatives down in  Burnham-on-Sea, it is a town in Somerset, England, at the mouth of the River Parrett and Bridgwater Bay. Burnham was a small village until the late 18th century, when it began to grow because of its popularity as a seaside resort.

it is a place full of beauty if you open your eyes. as i think with all places around us. below are a few images i took which were inspired by the dramatic high contrast images of the late great master of landscape Ansel Adams.
